What metric determines the winning bots?

The following metric will be used to determine the winning bots.

Competition Metric = (PnL - MaxDD) · InactivityPenalty

InactivityPenalty = min(1.0, NumTrades(1+TradingDays·0.16))

PnL: Total Pnl of strategy using the starting balance and end balances

MaxDD: Maximum drawdown of the strategy over the trading period

NumTrades: The number of trades executed by the strategy over its running time

TradingDays: The number of trading days the strategy was run

The main performance indicator is based on total profit with a penalty for max drawdown. The trading penalty expects a strategy to trade at least once per week on average, which will ensure that a winning strategy is more a matter of skill than luck.
