Security matters.

That’s why we adhere to the strictest security protocols to ensure the safety, stability, and integrity of all of our systems.

Your funds are never held on your account, but always remain instead on your chosen exchange (e.g., Binance). Trality never has access to your funds and will only ever use official exchange APIs to execute orders on your behalf. In addition, Trality’s platform is entirely cloud based, meaning that your bots run without interruption, 24/7/365.

Sandboxed user strategies

All of your strategies and algorithms are completely sandboxed and their creation is browser-based, meaning that you will always be the sole author and owner of your ideas while you develop and test your bots. Full end-to-end encryption means that your IP address is entirely your own, which is an essential part of maximizing your privacy and information security on our platform. In fact, it’s a vital part of our mission, one that continues to allow us to attract the smartest and highest-performing bot creators.

Cloud-based ecosystem

Since everything is entirely cloud-based, you can be absolutely confident that your bot will run 24/7/365 – never missing a trade! As a result, you neither have to set up nor maintain your own trading servers or organize any additional security measures. We do all of the legwork for you!

Advanced firewall protection

Thanks to the caliber and reliability of our web service provider, you can rest assured that our firewall is robust enough to protect all of our systems against a range of malicious attacks, ones that may affect uptime, security, or consume excessive resources (such as the case with DDOS attacks). Our systems are tried and tested and we are confident in their durability, but we do execute battle tests periodically in order to augment their security.

What can you do to augment your security online?

While we take every step to protect our users and systems, there are a few things that you can do to secure your information and resources. Let’s cover some of the basics.

Be wary (never deal with apps and people from un-trusted sources)

Security measures are only as strong as the weakest link, which is why it is imperative for users to play their part in order to achieve collective security.
You must always remain cautious and trust your intuition when it comes to products and services. This applies to everything online, but even more so when it comes to cryptocurrency trading. Small steps like avoiding public WiFi or simply avoiding anything online that you wouldn’t do in the real world can make all the difference. This is especially true of our social media and communications channels. When engaging on our Discord channel, for example, never talk to strangers about sensitive information unless they’re admins of the group and YOU initiate contact.
For technical support, only use our official support email: support [a t] trality [dot] com and never talk to any scammers on other platforms such as Telegram!

When active in the Trality discussion discord chat, only trust official admins

Activate multi-factor authentication

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is the best and quickest way to add another layer of security to your account. For services like Trality, the first step is to input your password. The second step should involve having an additional one-time code sent to your phone, e-mail or other device. We highly recommend enabling MFA on not only your Trality account, but on any services online. Some of the most popular solutions are Google Authenticator or Authy.

Use a strong password and password manager

It might be hard to believe, but many people still use passwords such as "123456" or even "password". And as you might imagine, these types of passwords are breached all the time.  Instead, use a password manager to create and store a safe, secure, long password, which includes caps,  numbers, and symbols.

Don’t just share/copy code

Please don’t simply copy and paste code snippets given to you by someone else. And don’t trust other people blindly. You never know when someone might be trying to trick you into using a harmful algorithm.

Keep your software up to date

This is something that most people often overlook, even those who are more familiar with technology security. You should ensure that your software/applications are always up to date. Bad actors and malware usually take advantage of weak points in old versions of your apps. Companies roll out updates for good reason (they usually remedy vulnerabilities).

Be sure to log in from the right address

Before logging into Trality (or any account), it’s good practice to double-check the URL. Always take a look at the address bar and ensure that the small lock icon is present. This icon means that the website you are on is the genuine, SSL-encrypted website. In order to ensure that you always return to that page  in the future, simply bookmark it for ease of access!

Be wary of suspicious emails and never share your password with anyone

Do not share your password with anyone at any time. No one at Trality will ever ask for your password. If you get an e-mail or a message on social media asking for your current password, then you should proceed with extreme caution, as it is almost certainly a phishing attempt. And you should  NEVER send cryptocurrency to a foreign wallet!

Don’t leave your precious devices unattended!

Always be cautious when using Trality from a public network. Be extra cautious when working with your devices in open, public places.
